Personally I would LOVE a really big WWII theme, [D-Day would be the BEST set ever] or maybe Special Forces. Halo would be kinda ok, but too many things would end up prebuilt, there would be too many new colors, and they said no trademarks anyway. Town was good, but they have brought it back enough. So I'm for Lego WWI-II, what do you think?

Think about that kind of history TLC has? I really would like if the themes wouldn't be too "violent". Most potential customers are parents whose childrens are about 7-10 so violent is rather annoying.
I personally like the way things used to be. One town, one space, one castle. That is what I believe "standard" and I like it.

Like TheQ said, I like standard themes. But if LEGO were to get a new License, I would love Halo 2, but they would never make it for a rated M game.

A new Space theme. A new Castle theme. All hyperdetailed. Greebles, SNOT on ships (not too complex, but stuff a kid can do... and I think they can do plenty. and most importantly, a revamped City/Town theme, that is somewhat futuristic.

First off: No 'modern' war themes.
Secondly, how about they just skip back to about 1985 and redo all the themes up until about 1994? That would work nicely. In old colours, of course.
I basically just want to see a more classic-like town theme, a pirates theme that's minifigure scale, a space theme (Blacktron III?), and a more classic-like castle theme. More Model Team type stuff would be cool too.
I'd love to see a "Monuments" theme. It's really lame that LEGO did the Statue of Liberty and a US flag, but ignored any other countries. I'd love to see a Monuments line with things such as the Eiffel Tower included. Sorta like all the main features in Minilands, but smaller.

Personally, I think that they've brought back their old themes too many times. They need something new, that isn't bionicle or some other junk. Plus, a WWII theme would appeal to an older audience, something that they could use right now. And it would be really fun and cool, a lot better than SW IMO. They wouldn't have to make many new pieces, except some little stuff like a Thompson or an MP40. Hedgerows would be fun, they could use something for barbed wire, and hey, they could just do battles where the Allies win. I'm not saying that this should be the only theme obviously, but it's one that I could get excited about. Finally, "Secondly, how about they just skip back to about 1985 and redo all the themes up until about 1994? That would work nicely. In old colours, of course" I might smite you just for that. Actually, I won't, because monuments would be cool, and they could bring back just one old theme every so often, updated just enough, like Blacktron 3 as you said. Ok, that's my opinion, have fun smiting me.

Guess we all have our opinions. Classic sets were awesome, but some new themes wouldn't bother me too much. I know ROTS didn't.

Hi, I recently managed to get my hands on a few space sets: Link. The above link command is working strangely, it has a space in it and I can't figure out why. The link is here too: guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=6989%2C6956%2C6923%2C6811%2C1478%2C6988%2C6981%2C6878%2C6933%2C1479%2C6851%2C6887Though I have a fair amount of sets from that time on, building these made me realize that 98% of the new (minfig) sets have nothing on them. All the cool features, the simple pieces that still combine to look very spacey (or whatever theme,), even the instructions are so much more fun. Less fake splashy stuff. About a war theme, I've always no matter how many stupid decisions LEGO makes (colour-changing, flesh figures, lightup sabers, etc.,) that they'd still be moral enough to keep modern violence out of sets, even at some cost. Of course, that is hardly how large companies tend to work, but LEGO has always worked like that in the past. More so, you said "they could just do battles where the Allies win" - That would disappoint me further. Not only would it be glorifying war, it would be doing in inaccurately. I agree with TheQ's original comment about the standard themes: Space, Town, and Castle. Though I'd also like to see Technic, and Model Team added in. It just so happens that (generally,) all the old stuff far surpasses anything seen today: Hence, redoing old stuff works perfectly for me. -John "J1A3L5" Langrish, who is annoyed at having to write this post twice since he lost the first post...

Jail, you lucky man. You got your hands on very legendary sets. I hope you enjoy those legendary sets. And remember guys, if you talk about war, you have to tell everything from observers point. Denmark and Billund is rather close to Germany. Making WW2 sets could and would create much of "grumble" in Germany (because of Nazi and stuff like that) and very possible money-lose at there. Face the truth, war is too hard thing for childrens kids.

1. I was joking about the 'doing battles where Allies win' and 2. All that I am saying is that they would be good sets.

Lego doing a military theme would be a serious dissappointment, Not for anti-violence toy people, but for the would-be collectors. If you haven't noticed, the only thing that matters is a resemblance to the original thing... It would likely be a disaster.
Good for parts though. Especially on sale.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I kind of think of sets as just plain parts supplies.

LEGO should make guns instead of using megaphones. They should make a military thread.

I know, megaphones have been weird. Just something not too customized.

Those old Space Police style guns were pretty strange too.
