No responds in 7 days

Hey,
I had an idea to stop people bring up old threads. How about no responds to a thread in 7 days,the thread gets locked.Sure you have to lock the past threads but I know you will have many threads to lock from the pass but if some one brings up the thread were TheQ posted in Hey! My name would be.. lock it.If some one made a topic a week ago and the responds aren't coming no more...Lock it. Get it?

I am not so familiar with ProBoards technology, so Nannan might know it better. But the basic thing is that week is much too short time. We are small community and not all visit boards regularly.. so, the idea is bit dead. I haven't seen any problems yet so, I think there is no need to solve things that don't need solving.

Topics get old like you dont want somebody to respond to a post in May of 2005 now.

We can let a thread die a natural and peaceful death. I don't want to jam the crowbar in its heart.

Well there is really no need for something like that. There can be post which are more then seven days old but are not dead. And we also have not had much problems with dead topics coming back to us. But a good idea none the less.
