Review: When a set inspires you to buy the series, then you know TLG has scored something big.
I love EF! Everything is so my style (except for the ugly robots). The Stealth Hunter is super posable, unlike the "Life" on Mars mechs.
The set without the stickers still looks good and can actually pass for something that I will put onto my MOCpage!
The lighting mechanism operates by the squeeze of the lever on the back of the mecha. However, you have to squeeze hard, really hard, until the color of your fingernail turn as white as the lunula. But there is good news: battery included! Also, the lighting brick is micro compared to that same thing from Rock Raiders.
The minifig is lesser than expected because the hair (which I've been dreaming for many nights) is made out of rubber! Is TLG trying to achieve that hair-gel overdose texture and feel? What happened to ABS? (see the glossary if you don't know what that is)
The Chinese characters on the stickers are translated on the sheet itself. I think this is a secret implication of western culture trying to integrate the Chinese language into the lives of Arian children, whom in their adulthood will be sharing the world with black-haired, yellow skinned Chinamen. Rock on, my motherland!
Overall this gets a 9/10 for promoting eastern culture in such a positive way to young American kids. I'm eager to buy more EF stuff to support the propaganda.
