Hey all, I have been thinking about moving LEGO and more LEGO to a better board called Invision Power Board. I have set it up to test, see it here: s14.invisionfree.com/LAMLAgain, I am just fooling around with this idea because I am sick and tired of Proboards. Let me know if you would be happy with a move. |

No. I do believe that we are "old" enough to move in to more "serious" epoch of LAML forum history. In serious, I mean using something else than these free forums that ruin the date.
But alas, we must talk about this in Messenger. Or in Admin Corner.

Yes ..
If you get the money you can buy the forum so you can make laml.org own it. I love the layout of the Invision Power Board. But Its hard to create it and all that. Trust me..I tried it.
BTW The forum is filling up with useless members.
PS I can create graphics for it if you want.
And Q, I beleve everyone as a say in this.

I love the layout of the Invision Power Board. But Its hard to create it and all that. Trust me..I tried it. BTW The forum is filling up with useless members. That is why you take premade skins.  And all forums fill up with useless members. |

1) We don't need any extra money for getting a forum software. I am already on the way of installing one forum for finnish LEGO group needs. 2) Software I am looking for is open-source, which means that everyone can alter the code. This means that we can add very many things to the forum to make it more "special". I have already figured out to make "MOC review" type of post. It should really help getting more sophisticated reviews of MOCs. 3) Reason I asked James to talk at Admins corner was that we could talk some special things away from the public eye. No supersecret stuff, I just like to suprise people 4) Getting us graphs is a good thing. We need alot of stuff. For forums and for website. Anything special in mind? |

To tell you the truth, I am against a move. I think giving up these forums is losing a bit of your history, I would be much happier if LAML stayed here. But then what do I know?

Long time no see! The problem with these forums is that no one really knows about the site. TheQ does not like Proboards and I am losing faith in it my self.

The problem with these forums is that no one really knows about the site. So couldn't you just advertise around? Or are you saying that other furums would provide more search-engine capabilities than proboards? I have used Phpp for quite a while now and have been relatively satisfied, however, the limit on the skin changes is a bit of a bummer with free membership. However, due to some conflicts and scuffs with other larger forums my forums are finally dying. TPJ |
