The SW ep III shows basically how does the LGC wants do devolep the lego bricks. Many colors, less bricks and small sets (well, it's my opinion). Take the colors for example: Almost every set has is own colors. It makes me almost cry . Remember those days when the sets were matched with colors? Ah, I miss the go' ol' Spyrius... -Q

I agree. Why can't Lego bring back the old days.

Well, remember they are a company so they aren't going to remember what is in OUR good interests... they want to make money and that is all. Even Lego and Disney, for example, are like this. Sorry guys...

true to all, the sets are disappointing , but the minifigs are what i'm hoping for. I just got my first Vader w/ light up saber and it is pimped out .

Looks like they're gonna have some good parts, and that's all I care about anyway.

I hope there's not too much already built pieces. Luckily it doesn't look like it. And the fact that there's all these colors, I just hope episode 3 isn't totally multicolered...

E3 marks the return of awesome Lego. Most sets (Clone Walker, ARC-170, Turbo Tank, Catamaran, Wookie Attack, JSF) out-do everything (in terms of appearance) except the AAT, UCS models, AT-AT, and RGS. These are the Episode 3 sets and how many I will ideally buy of each (at normal price): Scout Walker - 2 DV Transformation - 2 Tri-fighter - 1 Grievous Chase - Waitin for sale JSF & Vulture droid - 2 (already have one) Ultimate Saber Duel - Waitin' for sale Wookie Attack - 1 ARC-170 - 2. Oh man. best set. definitely more on sale. Catamaran - 1 Turbo Tank - 1 And of course, more when I can afford them on sale. The ARC... man, I need to keep one together... same with the JSF. The SW ep III shows basically how does the LGC wants do devolep the lego bricks. Many colors, less bricks and small sets (well, it's my opinion).
Take the colors for example: Almost every set has is own colors. It makes me almost cry . Remember those days when the sets were matched with colors? Ah, I miss the go' ol' Spyrius...That's merging with the OT for you. B-wing = blue, A-wing = red, Y-wing = white, yellow, X-wing = red... It's not less bricks either. Scout Walker - $10 - 108 DV Transformation - $7 - 53 Tri-fighter - $15 - 148 Grievous Chase - $20 - 111 JSF & Vulture droid - $20 (or $15) - 202 Ultimate Saber Duel - $30 - 282 Wookie Attack - $30 - 282 ARC-170 - $40 - 396 Catamaran - $50 - 376 Turbo Tank - $90 - 801 Now let's see a few others: Gungan sub - $50 - 375 (1 piece less than catamaran!) RGS - $90 - 686 pieces! Jedi Defense 1 - $7 - 58 AT-ST - $10 - 107 X-wing (original) - $30 - 263 They may not beat the records of all previous sets, but they are in no way more expensive per piece. But then, they don't use as many enormous juniorized pieces... which is also good, but makes the model smaller (and IMO, better.)

Paddy, you appear almost certain that you can get some of the ROTS sets on sale. Where do you get your sets on sale? I generally get mine on lego shop at home online. Occasionally, I may pick off a deal at Toy's R Us (recently I bought 4 HP sets for 75% off- 2 dueling club, 1 gringotts bank, 1 dumbledore's office). It's rare to find the popular SW theme on sale.

Man, you need to check out FBTB. there's some guy in Texas who managed to pick up a bunch of SW sets on sale at Wal-mart. How I despise his luckiness... several falcons. pssh. And nothing for me here.
I rarely buy online. I've bought from S@H once, and that was for bulk pieces. The thing is you have to try to visit Targets, Wal-marts and TRUs frequently ... once a week or so. SW goes on sale rarely, but when it does you can get 25% off or more. TRU has their Buy One Get One Free and BOGO1/2 off sales maybe 2-3 times a year, while Target has a clearance aisle before major releases (generally during christmas and during summer). Wal-Mart is strange, it varies from store to store. The one here has *NOTHING* on sale, while other people say that their stores have Snowspeeders for $5 or $10, and X-wings at low prices too. Basically, know when to go. Christmas is the best time, followed by Summer. I bought a whole crapload of sets from december and january, but almost nothing in february and march (so far.)

I don't mind the colors in my opinion they are probably just there for the SW sets. On the other hand, I was pretty sad about having to figure out which roman numeral meant what all over again

I'm starting to like them a little better. I'll probably wait till the price drops a bit on some of them, for it's not always worth it. I often shop on Ebay, because you can find older LEGO sets there, plus some pretty good prices. But I usually only go for "Buy it Now," for I'm not that good at bidding.
