I assume most of you are familiar with www.mocpages.com, in case you don't, it's where people showcase their lego creations. In this thread, talk all about mocpages. So, i think these days the "anonymous" reviewers on mocpages have gotten out of control since they can leave scathing reviews and no one will know be able to trace them somewhere. Do yall agree?

Mocpages is fantastic idea. Compound with BrickShelf, you get absolutely free change to show your MOCs..
For me, anonymous previewers aren't a problem. After all, you can delete them...
Thing that is bad for me is the fact, that you can't really change all the stuff you would want to. I, as a html-nerd, would like a change to change sometime for just fun..
But MOCpages is best that I can think for young Lego-builders. Well, compination of MOCpages and BrickShelf is the best...

I agree. They should be forced to leave there e-mail. They accuse you of false things and you can't correct them. ;D

I totally agree. People should only be able to leave a review if they have an account. Perhaps you could use Brickshelf, Lego and more Lego, or other Lego related site accounts to leave reviews. Or if it's just an email address, it should be a situation that if you dont reply to the email in 24h then the post will be deleted. The same should hold true for ratings.

I agree, I would like to kick it up a notch or two, but it beats having to get your own webspace, coding everything, uploading, maintaining it, etc. Also, like this, hundreds of people can see your stuff in a day. Plus the rating system is something I don't even want to try coding, things like that always break or malfunction or do stupid things that make everything wierd.

You should be able to customize your page a bit. I think you should be a member to post reviews, or at least have an e-mail address. Overall MOCpages rocks! My MOCpages site is called The Junkyard Galactica and is located at www.mocpages.com/home.php/985. Please leave a review! Evan;).

Is it just me or is the "read your reviews" feature disabled on my account? Now I can't shortcut to reading the most recent reviews of my mocs. A huge setback to a major purpose of mocpages.

I typically leave reviews that are less than 3 faces as an anonymous reviewer. You have no idea how ticked off people get when I review honestly... then they go and bash my stuff in reviews... seriously, not worth the trouble. I should care less, but I don't.

I'm notified by Gmail. It's the only way to fly. That way I don't have to check in every single day.

also, cant you just delete their reviews?
I'm thinking of forcing people to be members or leave real emails in order to leave reviews, or else I'll just delete them. Plus, people with accounts generally leave more constructive criticizm and better ratings than those who are anonymous with no email. Most of the time, its just: "your ___ looks nothing like a real ___", but then again, my ___ may not be very realistic.

You can't delete them yourself. You have to go to the Admin who will delete or edit for you. Too much of a hassle, IMO. For both of us.
