Hi all, I wasn't sure where to post this since it pertains to LEGO, community, yet is also an announcement. I'm away for a while (~10 days). Right now I'm writing this from a hotel in Bellingham, Washington that has unlimited free internet access for my dad's laptop. So I may be here a fair bit, or maybe none. We'll see. Anyhow, the point is that I'm in Washington again, and will probably head down to Bellevue for a day, to visit the store again. Apparently they have old light grey 1x2's among things. If they do, I plan to stock up a bit. Should be cool. Unfortunately my contact within the store doesn't work there anymore. Oh, and thank Megabloks for a 1.5GB mp3 player while on the trip... Since I may not visit the forum often, if you need me you can always email me. You know where. -John "J1A3L5" Langrish.

Well, I'm back in Vancouver today. After a Megabloks ferry lineup. I got there at 2:30, and was told I would probably be on the 5:00 ferry. We got on as one of the very last cars on the 4, which incidently was half an hour late, making it the 4:30 ferry. Aside from that, all is good.
Especially in the LEGO world. While they lacked any 1x2 light grey bricks, which was a disappointment to me, I did get a small stock of other pieces. Several hundred trans bricks, 150+ dark grey 2x2's, some light and dark grey 1x4's, and some other pieces. I'm only about half done inventorying and sorting, but when I do I'll update my PaB records, and upload some pics.
All in all, I spent several hours at the LEGO store, met an AFOL who just got back from Brickfest, and met a few other people. Including one up-coming LEGO fan, who happens to be female. We need more LEGO chicks. Badly.
Also among the things I brought back were 15 pounds of cheese, 1 set of figure magnets, salt & pepper shakers, a small fire set, and a free basketball keychain. Also I picked up some months-old ebay purchases I'd had shipped to a friend in Washington, and got two small KK2 sets from Fred Meyers at 20% off. Not an amazing deal, but it was cool.
See you all later, -Jail.

It's always a treat to visit a specialty lego store. The magnets are cool, but the shakers are just duplo bricks with holes. Interestingly I picked up a bionicle camelback at Orlando for $10 (no comments please).

I was at a PaB in Ontario. Very small. It had bags instead of buckets. I was thinking about getting some 2x4 Black bricks. I decide not to and did not get anything there. However, I'm off to London today and I heer there's a huge toy store. Maybe there will be PaB in there. Sadly I won't be going to Windsor. And I'm glad you got some good deals. I love LEGO stores. Once I got the Gungan Sub and Naboo Swamps for 24.99. And you once told me you found the Chamber of Secrets for around the same price at a LEGO store. I flee like I'm I could spend the whole day in those stores...

Like Jamit, i was at a PaB yesterday.
It didn't have buckets org bags. It just had those container thingies that you can buy at Grand and Toy and they slide in and out.
I forgot to buy some blue tiles :S

I need a "Megabloks"-load of white tiles, stat!
I know the PAB in Glendale doesn't have any, and they used to have the biggest selection.

So how many bajillion pieces do you have now? Meh, I still will quote the same number of 100,000, but that's pretty rough - Maybe closer to 110,000? If you'd only come to Seattle you'd get to see something big before the rest of the general online population! Plus, I need a over-18 to "accompany" me "at all times". You'd do nicely. Lame rule. Legal issues = Megabloks. Yeah, are you planing anything or working on anything now John? You know it. --------------------------------------------------------- So anyways, I tried writing this post a while back, but it somehow got deleted and lost. Since I'd spent a time writing and linking it, I said Megabloks it, so now I'm posting a little late. First of all, my PaB stuff, from Pick-A-Brick Bellevue. Here's the best pic I got of it: (Warning - Moderately large pic to show detail) And the complete list is available here. Scroll down to just over halfway to see this trip. It was 5 large PaB cups, and 2 small. So, what about the sets? I got sets from Costco, the LEGO Store, Fred Meyers, WalMart, and also picked up some sets I'd had shipped to a friend of ours in Washington because they were US-only shipping. US-only shipping also = Megabloks. LEGO Store: -Basketball Keychain -Salt & Pepper Shakers. -Figure Magnets - Town Selection. - 7241 - Fire CarFred Meyers: - 8777 - Vladek Encounter- 8873 - Fireball CatapultWalMart: - 5105 - 50th Anniversary BucketCostco: - 4496 - 50th Anniversary Tub (2) Ebay stuff I picked up: - 1711 - Snow Scooter (MISBaggie) - 1678 - Special Offer. (MISB) - 1698 - Special Offer (MISB) - 6599 - Shark Attack (MISB - Perfect Box!) - 6812 - Grid Trekkor (Used, No Box) I think that's everything, though it's been a little while now and I may have forgotten something. Anyways, that's my PaB followup. Enjoy, or be bored - Your choice. -John "J1A3L5" Langrish.
