Pictures can be seen here: www.mocpages.com/folder.php/6610For those who want to raise their own army, be warned...it ain't cheap. lol It's getting increasingly difficult to find the cavalry minifigs from the western sets these days. The cavalry figures weren't good enough for me as they were, so i ended up purchasing mass quantities of light blue pants from bricklink. Confederates are harder to do since Lego never had sets that featured them. For the soldiers, the best thing you can probably do is buy a bunch of Max Villano minifigs, which by the way also look good in light blue pants. I have a couple pics of some soldiers, generals and officers up. However, I'm working on more figs to put up later, most notably the Zouaves. Hope you like them!

Wild West, one of the best themes ever... How did you get your hands on all these minifigs? Anyways, nice job on all these. Have you ever seen this page?

How'd I get all the figs? Let's just say bricklink is my friend. I got most of them last year and am probably partially responsible for their current scarcity on bricklink. Last year, I remember buying 2 or 3 lots of 10. Now I look and I think I remember seeing around 10 sellers with 1 or 2 minifigs. I did see that page a long time ago, but it's still cool. And I agree, wild west is a wonderful theme. Too bad Lego ditched it after 2 years. Maybe it's because cowboys and indians aren't as marketable today as they were 50 years ago. But one thing's for sure...I bet if Lego made Civil War sets, they'd have a hot product on their hand. The heck with spongebob and spider-man...

I have a feeling Sponge Bob will sell better then Civil War LEGO could. Seeing that Grade 9s like Sponge Bob. We are living in a sad world.

Yeah, I know what you mean. That's how I felt about the Star Wars stuff after their third year running. I mean, sure it was cool and all, but when the licensing agreement forced Lego to end production on any future original Space Subtheme, I thought that was going too far. And I have a feeling the Star Wars line will be with us for many years to come, so kiss a future Space Police goodbye. Not too worried about Sponge Bob though. Although popular I don't think he's strong enough to last as long as Star Wars has. At most, I give him 3 years before he disappears. Then again, I could be wrong...I was one of the many who said Bionicle would tank.

That is a very nice collection of wild west people you got there jpark! Props to ya! Yea about Spongebob I agree that it is not going to be as successful as the Star Wars. I dont think it will outlast the batman set, which is missing robin, poison Ivy, harley, batgirl, Alfred, and a lot of other characters. I hope they make those characters!
