I found LAML from a link on someone's MOCpage.
I usually build in the Space theme.
I'm 14, and I have about 1000 bricks of my own.
I see there are a few big names around here. I am on CSF already, so it won't be too wierd.

Hmm.. Dean, you really should make some extra money to get more bricks. Try flea markets and friends.
And of course, Welcome aboard

1000 bricks was just a guesstimate based on my already-outdated peeron list that I made two weeks ago and looked at... two weeks ago.

Hi Hoffmayer! CSF is indeed a great place, though I rarely visit. I joined up right when it opened, but have only ever made a few posts. Some awesome builders there, and many awesome MOC's. Unfortunately, I have trouble building space...I'd like to, it just usually doesn't quite work forme. So I stick to castle, and some pirates. 1000 bricks? To many that seems a tiny amount, but don't be discouraged - Any amount of bricks is buildable, and a great start! Jail, paste up your status, will ya? ^^ Q - Huh? Welcome, -Jail.

Hello Dean!
Space is a great place to explore one's skills.
Having less bricks has it's advatages. You propably know what you have and it's easier to find what you want.
Btw. is there an other way to measure the amount than counting one by one (like one cubic meter has an average of n bricks)?

Well, there is if you have empty one liter can and LOTS of free time. In the meantime, Peeron is the best bet. Or LUGNET or Brickset ones, if you happen to be member. But still, Peeron is slow but it is the best.

LUGNET is easiest, but Peeron gives more information. Brickset I haven't really bothered with. I do all my set lists on LUGNET ( link to list) and it is publicly viewable. Then I have it linked to my Peeron account, so it auto-updates. I'm not sure why it's relevant, but Q wanted me to post my stats: -662 Sets (465 unique) -105,470 Parts -824 Minifigs That's the main stuffs. LUGNET won't tell you your unique sets, or minifigs as far as I know. The MISB worth is told at Peeron, also, among things. The other point about Peeron is you can add individual pieces. I haven't, but if you have a small and easy-to-do collection of 1000 pieces, I'd start now before it grows. Get every last piece into Peeron, then every last piece you get you can upload to the list. That way it's a total inventory. Mine is just my set inventory...I have many other pieces I've gotten from Bricklink, Ebay, Friends, PaB, etc., that aren't on that list. This makes it incredibly hard to get a total for how many pieces I have. I would guess ~135,000 pieces. But that could easily be closer to 150,000 or even higher. I don't think it's lower, but it's hard to judge. If you start from the beginning, it makes inventorying infinitely easier. As xsane said, a small collection has many advantages. A large collection requires much sorting, and gets complex. I personally have all my parts sorted out, and have a rough idea of how many of each piece I have. But if you aren't into the sorting thing, it becomes a nightmare. -Jail.

Wow. I have like 20 bricks? lol. But then again I don't really build so it doesn't really bother me.
Anyway, welcome to LAML Dean. Hope you have fun around here.
