...That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. In this thread, tell us the meaning behind your alias. As for me, Nannan is my go-by name in real life. Some of you might know me as "a-tree" from B-shelf. That name originated when I was playing Halo. Every time I kill an opponent, the message "you were killed by a tree" will appear.

Initials for me. Kinda lame, but fast and easy to remember.

My name doesn't come from Star Trek, althought some people think so. When I first started to play in Internet, I used nick Doommaker. It was very "newbie'ish" so I started to use name TheQuestionmark. That was long and then I change it to TheQuestion.
Some people started to call me TheQ, and that is where I found my nick. Also, TheQ sounds slightly like my name.
EDIT: Just remembered this. You know that gadget-guy from the Bond movies? That's where the name also comes =D

Jamit comes from way back when when I was playing Neopets. I was probly 8.
There are so many people on Neopets its very hard to get a name you like and can remember. So I was looking around the room looking for something to use as a name. My eyes fell on my Sister's "Jam Cam". A "Jam Cam" is a very old Digetal Camara, very bad pictures. I decided to take the name and add "it" to the end. Later I took the "cam" out. I some times you JamitJames.

zjpahle was originally just my yahoo screen name, but I expanded and now I use it for just about everything I do on the net. It's my name shortened. Sorry if that wasn't very exciting.

Umm, Q, no. Not even close. In fact, I'd never even considered that before. Where did you get that from?
On relatively old FBTB (Three years ago when they had the ezboard chat,) I was a very active chat member. There was a member who at that time was named Kuwachi; then later changed his name a few times to LEGObuilderMatt and Minifig Matt. I believe he started to call me JAL, then got the wise idea to start calling me Jail instead. Everyone from that point forward started calling me that online.
Nowadays I generally go by John among AFOL's, and Jail among younger people.

Umm, squir is the first 5 letters of my last name (Squires) and kim is the first three letters of my first name (Kimberly). I really got it from my login at school because my login is kimsquir and I like squirkim better so I use it everywhere now lol.

Welcome back squirkim! And I agree with you, squirkim sounds much better then kimsquir. Kimsquir sounds like something from medieval times. :}
