I have just recently bought 5 small containers (10€ for 5 was good deal) and also my folk bought a large container for me. I have used good amount of building time to sort out the bricks, especially those small parts that you know there are, but you cant find them in time.. Anyway, I just felt that I share some pics with you: All the containers I have now. About 2,5 are full of the smaller ones, but the bigger has much room to spare. Example of full container. All those small thingys that seem to vanish when you need them... Sneak shot of what is keeping me busy. Also, newest Finnish LEGO catalog is in there.. So, how do YOU sort you bricks? (I am sure that all the kiddos want to hear how uncle-John makes it happen ^^) -Q

I have taken the idea a bit further I got made two LEGO towers with a carpenter. Each drawer is diffrent height to fit various size and amounts of bricks. I can also use diffrent theme in each drawer like wings, roof tiles ect. For comparison between the towers is Jetro (about 100 cm). Behind the tires drawer you can see the unsorted pile. Few hours of work there.

Welcome, it looks like you have a very systematic way of sorting. May I see what you've managed to build with all your bricks?

It's good to be back. I'm trying to sort mine just by color into some bins, but whenever I have a good idead for a MOC, all the bricks that have already been sorted usually end up with the rest of my bricks in a huge, unorganized pile in my closet. Yes, finding pieces isn't too easy. Hopefully soon I'll actually finish sorting them. - Sz

Welcome, it looks like you have a very systematic way of sorting. May I see what you've managed to build with all your bricks? I don't have many pictures uploaded yet. But here is one. Of cource the bricks slowly gets deorganized. I think it's called enthrophy, some kind of force of the nature. But nowadays when I'm sorting I concentrate on one type of bricks, for example gears. In 10-30 mins you find tons of chosen type and if lucky, few extra rare other parts

Entropy, it would be a proper name for the model, yet there is still shape in it. This MOC demonstrates a very important philosophy. Thank you for sharing and welcome to LAML. +35 bricks
