LEGO has whipped out some limited edition sets using their 50th aniversary as an excuse to rack up some dough. -link-Hey, they sure are getting my money! I'm attracted to the "gold"

Speaking of this topic, see what the breakfast industry has gone into: link 1link 2Though I'm not a cereal eater, I bought the 3 $3.99 boxes of life cereal so I can get the elephant ;D

I haven't looked at the second links; they seemed to take a long time to load and I'm on a limited, yet exceedingly slow dialup access right now. I'll check them later.
I was hoping to pick up a few of the buckets at the Store, but the employees there said they were still waiting for the shipment. I hope to get some off S@H sometime. Tubs rock, because they serve as storage containers after, that all interlock.
I have heard many complaints about the gold colour being inconsistant. Even in the Brickfest keynote someone made a comment about it to Jørgen, so it must be fairly noticable. We'll see...

EDIT: Well, I picked up one of the 4105 buckets. I haven't opened the packages, of course. I will open the gold package when I get home probably, but the others will probably get put in with the rest of my unopened stock for now. It looks like old brown! ;D Since it appears to be so, I might even buy a second.

So, I hate to reply to my own post but I also picked up two of the larger buckets for $23.99 Canadian each at Costco. I've only opened one. It looks to have an awesome parts selection; I'd highly suggest it.

Yes. I believe you need a $50 membership. My parents have one, and for us it is well worth it. A few times a year we go, and since you can buy so much stuff in bulk and cheaper you end up saving well past that $50 mark. I believe a membership runs over several years, too.

Since 1 dollar = 1.2 Canadian dollars, $20 translates to $24 Canadian. I don't see why it's on sale at costco. Anyways, I just got a small bucket myself today. I'll leave a review.

Seems that this thing is exlusive to Americans. I don't see it "normally" (when I log to the site, the shipping cart changes to Finland) so..

Because the MSRP in Canada doesn't follow the exchange rate since it fluctuates a bit. I've yet to check out a TRU or target for these tubs. To be honest, I'm not a tub collector - I have little use for 2xX bricks greater than 2x2, and there aren't nearly enough white pieces.

In fact, I didn't even see any of the tubs in any store in the US I visited. The MRSP price of the large tub in Canada is $29.99, and the bucket is priced at $14.99. -John "J1A3L5" Langrish.

Yes, there are not enough gold brick varieties to build the gun.
