I've had this up on Brickshelf for a few days, and completely forgot to post it here! This was the "unnamed mech" that I've had in WIP topics for the past months. I had made little progress for several weeks, then recently, I worked up the initiative to finish it in 2 hours. It's gone through drastic redesigns, and several additions. In my opinion, this is probably my best mech yet. PIC=LINKBackstory: The Heavy Assualt Weaponized Tactical Walker, or HAWT, is the newest addition to the Mech Division of the Zalmoxis Military Directorate. Just like all the mechs in the ZMD, this mech has an interchangeable array of weapons. Primary Armaments: 16 Crescent Ground-to-Air Missiles 2 Light Pulse Turrents 1 Medium Chin-Mounted Machine Gun Secondary Armaments: Interchangable (Rail Gun, Heavy Machine Gun, and Dual-Barrel Pulse Cannon shown) Ignore the stand in some pics, it can stand without it, but I didn't want to take any chances. On another note, I've changed the name of my faction form UTSC to the Zalmoxis Directorate. I'm currently working on a C2 Ship for the Directorate. Constructive feedback welcome!

Constructive feedback welcome! Of course! I'm obligated to do so anyways. My first impression is: awesome mech! My second impression: those are small arms! My conclusion is: it's a naked headless chicken. Here's why: The little arms look like chicken wings, which serve the chicken no purpose except to flap them in a paroxysm of emotion. Comments: The SNOT on the body works well when you added tiles to enhance the looks. The legs have amazing posability, but your choice of regular plates undermines the professional feel. The four whimsical colors (trans light green, blue, sand blue, trans blue) diverts attention from the main creation itself. Alas, that protrusion on the southern block of the body is too erotic for my sick mind to handle, better get rid of it. Great job nevertheless rate4 +25 bricks -Nannan

Well actually, those aren't arms, those are weapon attachments. I don't believe in creating Gundam-Style Mechs, rather, I prefer the Mechwarrior-style mechs which have weapon attachments, rather than being a militarily-unnacceptable human-shaped vehicle. And about the machine gun on the chin, well, be glad I didn't put it on the pelvis. None-the-less, thank you very much for the comments.

Can you take a normal picture? rate4 Well, if you click the picture, it should lead to the gallery with a surplus of normal pictures. Or do you mean "normal" as in not crappy? Well, I have no choice. I'm working with a 3-year old webcam.

CrustaceanFreak, since we have a code that resizes images your link just makes a pop up come that has an enlarged image. Here is the link Steven. The MOC is not very smooth. There is nothing wrong with that but smooth is nicer to look at. The orange lights (?) seem to be out of place. The legs and "weapon attachments" all look nice. rate4

Hmm.. This mecha is partly Gundam style and partly BattleMech style and it is not doing very well on either of them. The mecha does stands from the crowd of all the annoying Mech's in the MOCPages but still isn't quite a masterpiece. IMHO, anyway.
I would do major re-contructions in the legs. While the style you made the legs (plated SNOT, I think), it don't fit the body's or the weapons' theme. In you place, I would "plate" the body too.
Also, legs look so whimpy. I get the feeling that this thing will fall anytime and anywhere it is. I suggest on looking Mark Neumann's Mechs (you have must have seen them, anyway) and perhaps using some..*glump* BIONICLE parts. I wouldn't still use them, tho. Good old technic pieces are the best.
The body is nicely rounded, I give you credit for that. Still, the colors could do second view. And also, where are the greebles? I don't see those small 'things' over the missiles as greebles. They just seem so off placed.
The cockpit area is marvellous, tho. I really dig look of it. Small suggestion, again. Make those missiles out of 1*1 round bricks, they would look much better.
The weapons are very Battlemech-styled and look great. Just make them more bigger and meanier!
-Q, "I coded PHP for 13 huors, could you give me a break?"
