Hey all, This is my new grand idea: - Rename the group "Moderator" to "Council Member"
- At the beginning there will be two Council Members, we will slowly add more
- One will be the winner of the scavenger hunt, and the other one will be voted by all members.
- Council Members will be able to accses the "LAML forum and website" area, which is a development discussion category restricted to staff.
- Their main purpose will be to vote on different issues
- Only the main Admin will be able to make polls (unless its a no confidence vote)
- They will have no power to lock post, edit posts, etc in any parts of the forum.
- Gmods will be chosen from this group.
The nominees will be: dyip_90 J1A3L5 Padawan716 Sz_2cool4u2b If any of the above don't want to be a nominee, please say now. Tell me what you think. -Jamit

Posting useless comments. If you'll pause a moment, perhaps you could notice the negative "karma" rating you have. While this is a rather subjective rating, and negative karma can be left for good reason. For example, I wouldn't be surprised if you gave me negative karma simply for posting this. That defeats the purpose, is lame, but it is inavoidable. Anyways, about yours - I don't think I've ever given you, but probably because I haven't thought about it. I believe it says something about you.
Posting such a worthless and short post as "I like it" is pretty lame, and doesn't contribute anything to the forum. I (as I know others have,) find this to be a trend within your posts.
My personal guide for posting is to only post when there is something meaningful to say that people will actually be interested in reading, and that contributes something to the community. For general purposes, I try to completely avoid posting for the sake of posting. I believe most people would agree that this is a good etiquette.
Also, a good post should actually be properly written. For example, your "knock what off" was written in a question form, yet lacked any punctuation. What is the purpose of that? Holding shift and pressing the slash-button takes virtually no time, and makes you seem a more intelligent and worthwhile person, while improperly post labels you as not that worthwhile to the community.
Please, if you have worthwhile and well-written things to post (Good MOC's, constructive ideas or criticism, or starting a worthwhile discussion thread, I'd love you to. But a post like "I like it" or "Wow" or similar responses does no one any good.

It is nice for you see to look around the site but still. You can see that the last post in to this thread was posted May 30, 2005, which is rather many months ago. If you are new to this whole "online LEGO community", I forgive your little mistake to post this old thread. Standard Net-etique is to not to post too old threads, which is referred as a "Gravedigger".
Do this in other places and I'll be sure they say the same thing.

I might add that on some occassions it is acceptable to bring back old threads. If there's an update to a bygone thread which doesn't warrant a whole new thread, it's acceptable. It's called common sense, in my opinion.
