Name: Beacon Tracer Set Number: 6833 Theme: M:Tron Year: 1990 Pieces: 38 Figures: 1 LUGNETBricksetThe Beacon Tracer is a nifty little set, though it doesn't boast anything too unusual. It's whole design is made on a "tipped foward" look, create by mounting the rear wheels much lower than the front wheels. This makes for an interesting look to the set. The only complaint about the design is that the canopy is very high above the driver. With it only 2-wide, it looks fairly strange. The driver has a ton of headroom, but hey, headroom is a good thing... It's also the only set to include the window piece with the M:Tron symbol on it, which I consider fairly cool. Another cool piece it has is a black 2x2x1 slope with a yellow vertical line pattern. I'd love to get more of that piece. It also uses some of those black small technic-axled rubber wheels I love so much... Unfortunately it lacks any magnets, the signiture of M:Tron sets. I'm not sure where any would fit into the model, but it's still a slight disappointment. All in all a cool set, but not a "must-have" set. -John "J1A3L5" Langrish.
