What was your first LEGO set and what do you think of it?
For me my first set was a DUPLO ship. It has 2 fishermen and a dog. There is an antenna and a working reel. There was a box to carry the fish which is a 5 2x4 bricks stacked on top of each other with a drawing of a fish. There is also a moving radar that can be attached to the shed. The boat really floats so I had a plethora of time playing with it in the bath tub hahah! It wasn't until four years later that I got my official LEGO set (the small pieces set) that catalized me to collect castle figures and buildings. The set I got was the Royal Knights castle in which i thorougly enjoyed playing with back then and looking presently (I have it on display in the study room =D ).

Technically, Duplo when I was 3 or 4. When I was 5, my dad gave me his sets from the late 50s and early 60s. The instructions are long gone, but I remember seeing a box with a bunch of brick built men on top of gears that came with an ancient Lego motor. I still have the box for set #319, which came out in 1965: Truck with Trailer. It's pretty basic but hey, Lego was still practically in its infancy back then. Here it is: As far as Lego system goes, I vaguely remember this as my first set, although it could've been a fire truck:

Hmm.. I am not actually sure about my first LEGO sets (I have one Dupl set, tho) but I believe it is this: 545 5+ Build-N-Store Chest . The chest now host my OldGrey bricks, from 1 x 1 to 1 x 8's.
