Maybe one day I will spend hundreds of dollars on gas to go. But not this year (when I can't even drive). Will you be going John?

I probably will. I'm not totally certain that I'll be able to get off school properly, but it is a long weekend, so I can make it to some extent. We'll see how it all turns out, but I definitely am planning to be there. Besides, you could fly... -Jail.

Maybe not NWBC but brickfest is a good few states down from me.
I would like to be at the NWBC with you,Join but I'm far away from the location of the NWBC. Maybe one day when I'm allowed to drive I will enter and watch you PWN the completion.

Why don't they make the blasted con during the summer?

Because Brickfest is during the summer.
Spacing them out doesn't overwhelm people all at once - Let's face it; if someone went to BrickCon, their chances of being able to afford and having the energy to go to DC are limited.

Alas, I am not meant to go to any brick convention.

Why don't you just go to the Brick Fest thing during the summer?

First, because it costs a lot more money to fly to DC on the opposite side of the continent - during the summer, no less - than driving down to Seattle. Also, I'll probably be in England at the time it's going on. LEGOland Windsor, perhaps...

I really wish I could go to one of these things. The closest I've ever been to some majorly awesome convention was San Diego Comic-Con. I was in the same city, and at the right time as well, but alas, my parents wanted to go to Seaworld instead.

It is so easy for you USA and Canada people.. Me and Xsane? No change getting in any major fest. Nearest one that I think of are in German and yes, people speak mostly German there so, no good :/ But, the original LEGOland is so near -Q PS: Xsane, planning to visit the LEGO tour at Helsinki?

I'm going to be in the SF bay area almost all of summer. Maybe I can make an excuse to get out to DC. Probably not. Most likely not for that weekend if I manage to convince my parents.
