It looks to me that the light saber isn't removable. I could be wrong of course. Anyway, it looks too much just a normal toy. I spend my money to other Lego stuff...

Batteries are non-replaceable, as said on the 7263 TIE Fighter box.

It also said Battery is not replaceable on the Police Station box(the officer is holding a light-up flashlight)
