You have ten days to procrastinate on a new years resolution. I will draft mine right now.
What will my LEGO life be in 2006?
-I have quite a few vignette ideas that I must see incarnated -I'm going to try some mecha-building, inspired by EF -Bley ships will come along naturally -I'm definitely getting the B-wing, that hunk of bley slopes is grand to miss -I am much anticipating new sets; in particular KKII and that hunky-donky bley ISF -More work for LAML as always, hopefully we'll get some more folks in the pool, it's no fun to be a lifeguard of a sparcely populated pool, cos you won't get to laugh at someone drowning. -I'm going to college in the fall, difficult to see the future is.
This is only a draft cos I can't really predict when a meteorite is gonna hit the Earth.

Pass calculus and Physics. That's my only goal. Passing those two classes each quarter (two quarters left).
I already failed calc once.... hopefully I got something out of it an can apply it to this other teacher's class.
As for physics... I hate physics. I hate it.

Good responses everyone. +3 to crusty, sz, steve, dyip, and paddy.
Q- The site is obviously much anticipated, but aren't you gonna whip out something tangible? Don't let your LEGO skills atrophy!
Crusty- You've got some specific plans laid out, git-r-done! I sense that you'll ge a strong contender in the FCZ if you enter!
Jamit- glad to see some moc ideas from you. I'll strike you a deal: if Q gives you the site password, then you give us your password to LAML, anything less would be totally unfair. And don't buy a cube, it's ruthless.
Sz- I'm glad you've rekindled your LEGO fervor, remember, the more you build the more you're addicted. Welcome back to us.
Steve- solid plan, hopefully you'll get everything done. I seriously look forward to your space mocs!
Dyip- I still don't understand your obsession with busses. And did you know I'm planning to build a 374HSK-LSI 7843 OSE 2987? ;D
Paddy- I understand you pain. I abhor Calculus and took biology instead of physics or chemistry. I sincerely wish you best of luck in those hell courses.

Paddy- I understand you pain. I abhor Calculus and took biology instead of physics or chemistry. I sincerely wish you best of luck in those hell courses. The funny (well, sad) thing is that I prefer biology to physics. I took bio as a freshman in high school. Then I took physics as a Soph, and then I took physics again for IB. Senior year I didn't take a science class. Unfortunately, only IB Physics Higher Level (HL - a 2 year version of the class) counts as college credit. I took SL, or Standard Level. If I had taken Physics HL, I wouldn't have to take physics at all.

Biology is awful. Physics is awesome. Chemistry is pretty awesome, too. Biology is just so...boring and useless. In my opinion anyways.
I've taken Physics 11, I'm in Chem 11, and will be taking both Chem 12 and Physics 12 next semester. And no biology! Yay!

I never found biology boring. I found it pretty easy to understand.
Physics - bah! Kinetic energy, potential energy and all that crap is completely and utterly pointless to me. I was either:
-Using equations without knowing how to use them or what they did (only because they had variables I needed)
-Using equations while thinking I knew what I was doing, and in turn, screwing everything up.
-Trying to figure out what to do.
The electricity unit was pretty tame, though. It didn't hate me as much as the rest.
But that frickin gorilla on a skateboard... and those kids on the ice throwing bowling balls. Damn them!
I haven't taken chem... and I never plan to.

Well 2006 is brand new start so I guess for me for my LEGO life, I will try to expand my castle collection along with experimenting for the first time some MOCs.
As for everything else that includes the life outside of the bricks I will try to improve my basketball game to another level. Also I be working on the academics as well, try to improve my grades.
Yea I feel your pain Padawan716, physics is pretty hard. I am currently taking both physics and biology AP, and I find it that biology is easy if one remembers everything about how things work, whereas physics we get these huge curves (squareroot (rawscore) x 10) which means people can make a 49 and still get a 70! But I guess the class is really fun because it is challenging.

KF, have you seen this site? The "How-To" part should help you with your MOCs.

I will say my new year resolutions after I succeed with them! ... LEGO wise, probably I need to work on sorting the most, since it is the key for most of my upcoming MOCs... Paddy, as you already know, I've been into Calculus and Physics and all that crap, the only way you can enjoy or understand them is to practice them hard, do as much problem solving as you can... Also try to study with some one, makes things a bit easier. I also found that teachers/professors are the key of success with these classes, so if you have a crappy ones, things won't go easy on you, so you need to work twice as hard.
